The Rugeley and District Cribbage League covers an area in the middle of Staffordshire, England, which comprises Rugeley, Brereton, Armitage, Handsacre, Hill Ridware, Abbotts Bromley, Colton, Colwich, Little Haywood and Great Haywood.
League matches are played on a Tuesday night, with various different knockout competitions being fitted in on other nights. The league season normally runs from September until April of the following year. Matches start at 8:30pm. The league would welcome interest from any teams within their area who fancy a friendly night out with a few beers and a game of cards.
The League was formed in 1947. In it’s heyday it comprised of 42 teams. Over the last 15 years the popularity of pub games such as cribbage, dominoes and darts has declined and this has been reflected in this league which now has 22 members.
Despite the decline the league has maintained two Divisions and fixtures and results, together with league tables are to be found on other pages on the site.
Below this page are to be found the information pages relating to the league, it’s rules and contact details for the people who voluntarily give their time to organise things.
